NASA's James Webb Space Telescope identifies GN-z11 galaxy, the farthest active supermassive black hole at 430 million-year-old universe.

NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has revealed that the exceptionally luminous galaxy GN-z11, observed when the universe was just 430 million years old, hosts a central, rapidly accreting supermassive black hole. This discovery makes GN-z11 the farthest active supermassive black hole found to date. The dense gas detected around the black hole provides the first clear evidence of its existence.
