Person rescued from 3rd-floor window, arrested for assaulting officer during downtown Toronto apartment fire.
A person was rescued from a third-floor apartment window during a fire at a downtown Toronto apartment building on Sunday morning. The individual was later arrested for allegedly assaulting an officer at the scene. The Toronto Fire Service responded to the fire at 291 George St. at around 8:25 a.m., and the person was transported to the hospital with injuries related to smoke inhalation. The fire is not considered suspicious.
