18 April, Samsung retailers in Maharashtra, India, plan to protest over unpaid Rs 50 crore due for over a year due to distributorship change.

Samsung retailers in Maharashtra, India, are set to protest in Pune on April 18 over unpaid dues of approximately Rs 50 crore ($6.5m) that have been outstanding for over a year. The dispute arises from a change in distributorship in the region, with Samsung ending its relationship with SSK (part of the Syska group) in March 2023 and appointing new distributors, ABM Group and Karuna Marketing. Retailers claim they have not received incentives they were due for meeting sales targets during the transition period.
