24-year-old man from Labasa, Fiji, charged for Mpaisa scam involving lottery deception. On September 9, he allegedly convinced a victim to believe they won the Mpaisa lottery, obtaining their One Time Password (OTP) and transferring over $700 to his account. He faces one count of Obtaining Financial Advantage and one count of Possession of Property as Proceeds of Crime, set to appear at the Labasa Magistrates Court.
