Oxford University and King's College London's STOP-D study examines sertraline's impact on depression and life quality in brain injury patients, potentially integrating depression screening and management in major trauma centers.
Oxford University Hospitals & King's College London's STOP-D study aims to track potential impacts of sertraline, a light anti-depressant, on depression and life quality in brain injury patients. The year-long study, recruiting from 9 leading trauma centers, hopes to integrate depression screening and management in major trauma centers if successful. Up to half of TBI patients develop depression within 10 years post-injury.
