2023: LDS Church membership increases to 17.3 million with 251,763 convert baptisms, up 39,591 from the previous year.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) reported a 1.49% increase in its membership, rising from 17,002,461 in 2022 to 17,255,394 in 2023. The surge was attributed to a rise in convert baptisms and new children of record. The LDS Church also reported a net increase of 252,933 members, with 251,763 converts baptized, up 39,591 from the previous year, and 67,871 young, full-time proselyting missionaries, up 5,327 from last year.
