A Caltrain test train struck and killed a person on the tracks in San Carlos early Sunday morning. The southbound train hit the individual at 12:10 a.m., and the victim was confirmed dead at 12:27 a.m. The reason for the person being on the tracks is unknown, and the cause of the collision remains undetermined. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Transit Police Bureau is investigating the incident.
