17-year-old boy on a bicycle was killed after being hit by a train in Sorrento Valley, San Diego, on June 14th. The boy and two friends stopped at a crossing to let a northbound train pass but, unaware of an approaching southbound train, the boy crossed the tracks and was struck. Amtrak and San Diego Sheriff's Department are investigating the incident, causing delays and adjustments in train services.
