Suburban Chicago nurse Sarah Diamond, 31, has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for tampering with patients' medication. In 2021, while working as an assistant director of nursing at a medical rehabilitation center, Diamond removed morphine from bottles meant for five patients and replaced it with another liquid, causing some patients to suffer and ultimately die. Diamond pleaded guilty to a federal charge of tampering with a consumer product.
