Mainland China and Japan have expressed readiness to provide disaster relief assistance after Taiwan's 7.3-magnitude earthquake. A Chinese spokesperson said the mainland is paying close attention to the disaster and is willing to offer aid, while Japanese PM Fumio Kishida stated his country would provide assistance if needed. The earthquake's epicentre was off the east coast of Taiwan.
