SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch likened attaining the global first of T+0 settlements to "onion peeling" involving problem-solving and personal discomforts. She made the analogy during the annual convocation of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where she spoke about India's progress towards the "high noon" of the new India. Stock exchanges BSE and NSE launched the beta version of T+0, a same-day trade settlement on an optional basis for select stocks.
