2 people suffered significant burns in an oil field tank battery explosion in Finney County, southwest Kansas on Wednesday. The Garden City Fire Department responded to the scene on 3300 West Annie Scheer Road, providing lifesaving efforts and transporting the victims to Finney County Emergency Medical Services before containing the fire, which took approximately 40 minutes to put out. Multiple local departments provided mutual aid.
