Japan's unmanned lunar lander, SLIM, survived a lunar night, sending back images despite landing at an angle.

Japan's unmanned lunar lander, known as the Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM), has survived another freezing two-week lunar night and sent new images back to Earth, according to Japan's space agency. SLIM, which landed in January, successfully completed its second overnight, despite touching down at a wonky angle, leaving its solar panels facing the wrong way. This achievement makes Japan only the fifth nation to reach the lunar surface without crashing.
