Alberta makes Edmonton homeless support centre permanent, expands concept to Calgary.

Alberta is making its Edmonton navigation and support centre for the homeless permanent and plans to expand the concept to Calgary. The centre was launched in January to help the homeless population access a range of services, including mental-health and addiction treatment, primary health care, and income support. Over 700 individuals have accessed the centre, leading to more than 2,200 referrals for services.
