3 Samsung workers in South Korea, pregnant at the time, have their children's congenital diseases recognized as covered by workplace accident compensation. This is the second such case since the revised Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act was implemented. South Korea has now recognized 8 cases of children born with congenital diseases due to their mothers' unsafe work environments, with 2 more cases under investigation.
