Starting this Sunday, night works will occur around Auckland Port on SH1 and SH16 from 10pm to 5am, requiring full closures for paving, excavation, and installation work. The project, Commercial Vehicle Safety Programme (formerly Weigh Right), involves installing number plate recognition cameras, weigh-in-motion scales, and safety centres across New Zealand to support a safe and productive land transport system. The Auckland Port work is expected to take 5 months with periodic overnight closures.
