The Ara Weiti Road project in Auckland aims to enhance access to Weiti Bay with a 5.0km state highway off-ramp, expected to cut travel time from the city center to 30 minutes by late 2026. While the Ō Mahurangi Penlink project faces delays due to bridge construction issues, work on Ara Weiti Road continues, including a temporary diversion. Of the original 150 development sites in Weiti Bay, only 15 remain available.
