New Zealand study finds sugary drinks make up one-third of household beverage budget, prompting calls for a sugary drinks tax.

The UK's soft drink industry levy led to a 30g reduction in household sugar intake per week. New Zealand is urged to follow 45 countries with sugary drinks taxes to reduce free sugar consumption.
