Federal High Court in Abuja dismisses lawsuit challenging FCT High Court judge appointments, citing lack of legal standing for plaintiff Azubuike Oko.

The Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed a lawsuit challenging the appointment of 12 judges for the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory. Justice Inyang Ekwo held that plaintiff Azubuike Oko, a lawyer from Ebonyi, lacked legal standing to instigate the matter. Oko had alleged that Ebonyi state had been systematically excluded and marginalized in the appointment of judges to the FCT High Court.
