Nationals' leader David Littleproud suggests sending young offenders to outback camps to address youth gang violence and combat social media "posting and boasting" of crimes. The Coalition plans to create a new Commonwealth offense with potential jail time, and alter juvenile justice and detention, as young people no longer fear prison. Outback camps, teaching trade skills, will serve as an alternative to traditional detention centers.
