Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan announced plans to address violent youth crime, including stricter bail measures for serious young offenders, treating aggravated burglary as a crime against the person, and revising the youth justice bill currently before the Victorian parliament. Changes will make it harder for children accused of serious offences to receive bail and easier to revoke it. Further announcements regarding the issue are expected soon.
