2004 murder convict Scott Peterson seeks new trial with LA Innocence Project presenting new evidence pointing to burglars kidnapping his wife Laci.

Scott Peterson, convicted in 2004 for the murders of his pregnant wife Laci and their unborn son, is back in court with the Los Angeles Innocence Project (LAIP) presenting new evidence supporting his innocence claim. LAIP filed over 1,000 pages of court documents, suggesting burglars targeting a nearby house kidnapped Laci after witnessing a crime, then killed her and dumped her body. LAIP also wants DNA evidence retested and questions other evidence from interviews and police reports. If granted a new trial, it would involve a complete re-examination of the case.
