2007 Melbourne one-punch attack victim Shannon McCormack's parents seek new inquest due to advancements in DNA technology.
Parents of a man who died in a one-punch attack in Melbourne are pushing for a fresh inquest, citing advancements in DNA technology. Shannon McCormack died in 2007 after being attacked outside Southbank's Queens Bridge Hotel. Despite a $1 million reward from Victoria Police, no one has been arrested or charged. His parents Bill and Cheryl McCormack have applied for another coroner's investigation, after a 2014 inquest failed to identify any suspects or fresh leads.
