19-year-old LSU student Madison Brooks died after being run over in January 2023. Prosecutors charged four males with rape, including the driver, Casen Carver. An attorney for one of the suspects filed a motion claiming a male LSU student had consensual sexual relations with Brooks the day before her death. The attorney believes this information could potentially exonerate his client. The attorney has filed a "Motion for Preliminary Examination" to subpoena and interview the unnamed student. District Attorney Hillar Moore calls the filing "totally improper."
