30 councillors approved the Living Streets plan in Dún Laoghaire, which aims to create more cycle lane and pedestrian-friendly spaces. The scheme involves traffic changes on the seafront, bus rerouting, and pedestrianization of George's Street Lower, Sussex Street, and Convent Road. Modal filters will be introduced at Tivoli Road, Cross Avenue, and Clarinda Park West to deter cars. The council stated that over 7,000 submissions supported the plan, with 54% in favor.
