U.S. District Judge Mary Dimke dismissed the National Shooting Sports Foundation's challenge.

A federal judge has rejected a challenge to Washington state's Senate Bill 5078, also known as the "Firearm Industry Responsibility and Gun Violence Victims' Access to Justice Act." The law requires firearms manufacturers and sellers to establish, implement, and enforce reasonable controls in the manufacture, sale, distribution, and marketing of firearms, potentially holding them liable for crimes committed with their products. The National Shooting Sports Foundation attempted to block the law by challenging its constitutionality, but U.S. District Judge Mary Dimke dismissed the lawsuit, allowing the law to stand.
