A Bexar County jury awarded $210m to the family of Andreen McDonald in a wrongful death lawsuit, with $110m in compensatory damages and $100m in punitive damages. McDonald, a former Air Force Major, was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 20 years in prison. The jury's verdict comes after McDonald admitted to killing his wife in self-defense, then panicking and dumping her body in a field.
