A 57-year-old man was arrested for breaking into The Grotto, a 100-year-old Catholic sanctuary in Northeast Portland, causing significant damage by shattering windows, toppling a tabernacle, and snapping crucifixes. No one was injured during the incident, including six religious figures residing there. The suspect allegedly broke in around 5 AM and was confronted by Father Leo before being arrested by police.
