The last surviving piece of Amy Johnson's plane, which crashed in 1941, has been sold at auction for £3,673.60. The only known fragment, a parachute exit door, was retrieved from the Thames Estuary and has been acquired by the Kent Battle of Britain Museum, where it will be displayed. Amy Johnson was the first woman to fly from Britain to Australia in 1930.
