Gardaí investigate Tusla for placing vulnerable children in unregulated accommodation due to fabricated staff checks by Ideal Care Services.

Gardaí are investigating allegations that Tusla, the child and family agency, placed vulnerable children into unregulated emergency accommodation. The investigation comes after an internal Tusla report found a company called Ideal Care Services, which had been used by Tusla to manage accommodation for children in state care, had "fabricated" pre-employment checks of staff, posing a risk to young people in its care.
