Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is taking measures to curb violence and aggression towards health workers, including using body cameras for staff and easing policies to ban patients or visitors who exhibit aggressive behavior. Cases of violence and aggression at the East London/Essex trust have doubled in the past three years, and some staff members have experienced physical harm. The new measures also include a "de-escalation" training course for trust employees.
