A female prison guard in Australia was jailed for 11 months after attempting to smuggle drugs into prison for her "bad influence" boyfriend. Kassan Twitchin, 19, was employed at Clarence Correctional Centre when she was caught trying to bring cannabis in on October 15, 2023. She was charged with possessing a prohibited drug and bringing a prohibited drug/plant into place of detention.
