Burned human remains found on a football pitch in Motherwell are being treated as unexplained by police. The gruesome discovery was made by a dog walker at around 9am on Saturday. Forensic officers and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service's Fire Investigation Unit are investigating the incident, which is currently being treated as unexplained. The sex of the body had previously been unknown.
