Vermont Criminal Justice Council revoked certifications of law enforcement officers Bunnell and Martel for misconduct.

The Vermont Criminal Justice Council revoked the certifications of two former law enforcement officers, Stephen Bunnell and Lance Martel, for misconduct. Bunnell, a former Caledonia County Sheriff's Deputy, was found guilty of paying women for nude photos and sexual favors, and had his certification revoked permanently. Martel, a former Essex Police Officer, committed voyeurism and had his certification revoked; he may reapply for certification after seven years if he completes a Council basic training program.
