The crash of Arrow Air flight 1285 Myths.

Arrow Air Flight 1285, a Douglas DC-8 on a routine mission for the US military transporting 248 passengers including members of the 101st Airborne Division, and eight crew members, crashed in Gander, Newfoundland in December 1985. The aircraft had several maintenance issues despite which it was allowed to take off. It crashed soon after takeoff, killing all occupants. The investigation into the crash led to the disbandment of the Safety Board and left a legacy of uncertainty and misinformation surrounding the incident.
