Aldi trials double toilet rolls and plans to reduce plastic packaging and food waste in Staffordshire stores.

Aldi, a UK budget supermarket, is testing double toilet rolls in certain stores across Staffordshire to reduce plastic waste and carbon emissions. By increasing the volume of sheets per roll, the company hopes to decrease the size of packaging, which could lead to the removal of over 60 tonnes of plastic packaging annually. Additionally, Aldi plans to sell more loose produce and aims to cut its food waste in half by 2030.
