B-1B Lancer bombers returned to Ellsworth Air Force Base after January 4 crash, with the fleet temporarily moved to Dyess AFB.

The US Air Force has begun moving B-1 Lancer bombers back to Ellsworth Air Force Base as the investigation into a bomber crash last month continues. Some bombers have already returned, with the rest coming throughout this week. The 28th Bomb Wing moved its fleet to Dyess Air Force Base in Texas on January 25th so missions could still be flown while investigators searched for a cause of the January 4th crash on the base's only runway. The wreckage of the bomber has been removed and taken to another location for further investigation.
