Mapusa Municipal Council bans Gobi Manchurian in Goa due to synthetic color concerns and unhygienic conditions.
The popular fusion dish, Gobi Manchurian, has been banned in the city of Mapusa, located in the Indian state of Goa. This decision was made by the Mapusa Municipal Council due to concerns over the use of synthetic colors and unhygienic conditions in its preparation. The council is not the first in Goa to take action against Gobi Manchurian, as the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) had previously issued restrictions on its sale at events like the Vasco Saptah fair at the Shree Damodar temple.
