Rajasthan, India discovers unsafe MDH and Everest spices due to high pesticide levels, following global investigations.

Rajasthan state in India found some spices from popular brands MDH and Everest unsafe for consumption due to high levels of pesticide and insecticides. This follows Hong Kong's suspension of MDH and Everest spice blends in April, and other countries investigating or applying extra controls on spices entering from India. Authorities have seized 12,000 kg of spices for alleged contamination, while the brands deny their products are unsafe.
