A group of men impersonating utility workers invaded the Long Island home of a 69-year-old woman on Monday. The men claimed they were there to check for a gas leak before forcing their way into the residence. Upon entering the home, they held the 35-year-old aide at gunpoint and attempted to subdue the homeowner. The victims' desperate screams for help caused the suspects to flee the scene. The investigation remains ongoing and authorities are seeking any information that may lead to the identification and apprehension of the individuals involved.
