PM recommends carefully analyzing the costs and benefits of the project.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh has instructed the Planning Commission to conduct a cost-benefit analysis for ongoing projects, prioritizing those that can be completed quickly and at a low cost to maximize economic benefits. Hasina emphasized the importance of examining costs, loan repayments, and expected returns from projects, as well as considering the project's impact on the economy and Bangladesh's upcoming graduation to a developing country by 2026. The PM also established a high-level committee to prevent delays in foreign-funded projects and vowed to turn Bangladesh into a smart nation by 2041.
