Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called on engineers to create sustainable, cost-effective, and pro-environment strategies and plans to quicken Bangladesh's development. Addressing the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) convention, she emphasized the importance of environmentally friendly plans to protect the country from climate change impacts, including drought, flood, and tidal bores. Hasina also highlighted the need for inclusive housing development and emphasized the importance of engineering in university curriculums and staff colleges.
