Two Charlotte cops were hospitalized after a car hit their parked vehicle; the driver fled but was later arrested.
In a hit-and-run incident early Sunday, two Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers were hospitalized after a car struck their parked vehicle during a traffic control setup near the Bojangles Coliseum. The driver, Aaron Sipf, was arrested on charges of felony hit-and-run and resisting arrest. Two of the four car occupants fled, with one being apprehended. The officers are expected to recover.
