Researchers in South Korea develop flame-resistant epoxy with high-temperature stability.

Researchers from South Korea have created a new epoxy called "Epoxy/MXene One-Component Solution" that offers high-temperature stability and flame retardancy. This material, which includes a latent curing agent and MXene, shows a 12% increase in limiting oxygen index and an 85% reduction in peak heat release rate. It is promising for use in adhesives, coatings, and electromagnetic shielding in industries like telecommunications and construction.
