French sailor Charlie Dalin is nearing victory in the Vendée Globe, a solo, non-stop around-the-world yacht race, expected to finish on January 15 between 0430hrs and 0830hrs UTC. Dalin has led since December 30 and is set to break the previous record by over nine days. He previously finished first in the 2020-21 race but was demoted to second due to a time bonus given to his competitor.
