Former prison officer sentenced to 13 years for raping two young girls in Scotland.
Russell Maitland, a 37-year-old former prison officer from Peterhead, has been sentenced to 13 years in jail for raping and sexually assaulting two young girls in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Maitland, who worked at HMP Grampian, was described in court as having committed "depraved" acts. He will be monitored for three years after his release and has been placed on the sex offenders' register indefinitely.
