Repairs begin on the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge in Cincinnati, with steel girders arriving ahead of schedule.

The first of seven steel girders for repairing the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge in Cincinnati, closed since a fire in November 2019, are arriving today ahead of schedule. More girders will arrive on January 14th and 15th. The repair project, costing at least $10 million, aims to reopen the southbound lanes by March, despite recent snowstorms. Four suspects indicted for the fire have yet to be brought to trial.
