Fairfield Avenue Bridge in Norwalk reopens ahead of schedule after crash repairs, under budget.

The Fairfield Avenue Bridge in Norwalk, Connecticut, has reopened after seven months of construction, following a fiery crash that damaged its structure. Initially projected to cost $20 million and be completed by spring 2025, the bridge was finished under budget at $16.8 million and ahead of schedule. The new bridge includes sidewalks and narrower travel lanes to accommodate bicycles.
