Texas neurosurgeon suspended over patient overdose that led to seizure and felony charges.

The Texas Medical Board has temporarily suspended Houston neurosurgeon Dr. Samer ElFallal's license after he allegedly overdosed a patient with lidocaine in 2022, causing a seizure, near cardiac arrest, and long-term neurological issues. Dr. ElFallal is now facing two felony charges for aggravated assault. His suspension will last until the Board decides on further action, with a hearing scheduled.
