The Idaho DMV is urging residents to add a next of kin to their profiles for emergency contact purposes.
Starting July 1st, DMV representatives will ask customers to designate a primary and/or secondary contact or opt out.
Currently, adding a next of kin is optional, but it can help emergency services quickly reach loved ones in case of an accident.
